Alberta’s Provincial Mammal, the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep is world re-known both for its size and the magnificent habitat that it occupies!
The successful bidder will be able to hunt one minimum 4/5 curl Trophy Sheep, in accordance with all provisions of the Wildlife Act and Wildlife Regulation*. This special license is valid during open hunting seasons in all locations having an open season to hunt, including a special license trophy sheep draw season as identified in the 2014 Alberta Guide to Hunting Regulations.
1) In addition to the trophy sheep seasons listing in the 2014 Alberta Guide to Hunting Regulation, this license is also valid:
2) From November 1 to December 15, 2014 in wildlife management units 302; 303; 306; 308; 400-406; 412-428; 430-437, 439-446.
3) From December 1 to December 15, 2014 in wildlife management units 408 and 438.
4) From Nov 1 - December 15, 2014 in that portion WMU 408 that is east of Highway 40.
A minimum of 60% of funds generated by the auction have been contractually designated to be invested in projects for the long-term benefit of Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep with the potential that all 100% can be invested.

LICENSE CONDITIONS
A non-resident alien license holder is required to hire a licensed outfitter-guide. A non-resident (Canadian) is required to hire a licensed outfitter-guide or be accompanied by a hunter host.
Before hunting, the license holder must notify the local Fish and Wildlife Division office of the license and tag number, intended hunting area within the WMU(s), and the dates when hunting will occur.
This license does not authorize hunting on Sundays in Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) where the Sunday hunting of big game is prohibited. (The WMU’s for this hunt are not affected by this condition).
This license does not authorize hunting in any location where hunting is prohibited (such as in a wildlife sanctuary, park, ecological reserve, or restricted area).
If a season is archery only, then only archery equipment must be used.

A 5% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
