Donation: Longtime member supporter Coke Wallace is donating this 7-day spring grizzly bear hunt in Alaska for 1 hunter to give back to our service men and women. Not only will funds help WSF in its mission and purpose to “Put and Keep Wild Sheep on the Mountain™” but they will also benefit the Heroes and Horses program established in Montana where our new WSF World Headquarters is located. Heroes and Horses is a unique program that uses the remote wilderness and the horse/human connection to challenge and inspire personal growth in veterans suffering from mental and physical scars.
Dates: Schedule with the donor for spring 2017 or 2018.
Additional hunters: Contact outfitter for availability.
Non-hunting companions: Welcome for the price of $350 a day.
Location: Central Alaskan Range/Northern Talkeetna Mtns.
Additional fees: Licenses are $85 and tag is $500.
Accommodations: Included during the hunt in remote cabins with wood stoves, propane lighting and cooking as well as spike camps utilizing quality four season tents and appropriate accommodations.
Transportation: Round trip from Fairbanks to the field and back. During the hunt you will utilize horses and foot
