Oregon Rocky Mountain Goat Auction Tag - OR FNAWS

OR FNAWS will be selling the Oregon State auction tag again this year. The tag’s hunt dates will be August 1 – November 30, 2021. The hunt area will include any area where a Rocky Mountain Goat season is authorized in Oregon in 2021. Previous holders of any Oregon Rocky Mountain goat tag are eligible to participate.

According to ODFW records, a total of 27 mountain goat tag holders took animals in the 2020 season. Eight of those animals green-scored 50 or more Boone and Crockett points which qualifies them for entry in the B & C record book. A monster goat taken in the Wallowa Mountains in 2020, officially scoring 54 6/8 B & C points, is the new state record. Twenty-four mountain goats scoring over 50 B & C points have been taken in Oregon in the last 5 years!
