DONATION: The world’s record Stone’s sheep was taken in 1936 by Lee Sherman Chadwick deep within the Muskwa River Drainage of northern British Columbia. After all these years, it is still considered North America’s most magnificent trophy. With both horns measuring over 50 inches, a beautiful configuration, and that luxuriant blue roan color of a Stone’s sheep, he must have been a breath-taking sight. “Using a very classical pose, I wanted to capture the majesty of this incredible ram that harkens back to a time when huge expenditures of effort were required to reach such remote wilderness. A time when there were still areas unknown, and it took weeks of horse travel to reach them. In many ways the Chadwick Ram represents that era and the beauty of the northern wilderness.” Tim Shinabarger
SPECIAL NOTES: Tim Shinabarger is an award-winning American sculptor and painter internationally known for his portrayals of wildlife. A native of Montana, he spent his youth and early adulthood never far away from his beloved wilderness areas in the northern Rocky Mountains. “Nature is the source of my inspiration.” “There is no preplacement for total immersion if what you’re seeking is the truth.”
