DONATION: This is a 5-day Colorado elk and/or mule deer hunt for two hunters. High Mountain Hunts, LLC, invites two lucky hunters to Colorado for a 5-day, 2x1 guided hunt in the San Juan National Forest for elk and/or mule deer. Hunters can combine multiple tags for this hunt at no extra cost (other than the cost of the tag); consult with the outfitter for details. Method of take is rifle.

DATES: Schedule hunt with the outfitter for open dates in 2024 or 2025.

ADDITIONAL HUNTERS: Contact outfitter for availability.

ADDITIONAL NON-HUNTERS: Contact outfitter for availability.

AMENITIES INCLUDED: All accommodations in a timber frame lodge, home-cooked meals, 2x1 guide service, and field prep.

AMENITIES NOT INCLUDED: Before/after hunt expenses, license ($150 per hunter) tag ($460/deer $761 elk per hunter), packing and shipping, and gratuities. The deadline for hunting application is March 31, 2024, contact outfitter for more details Please note, hunters must have at least two preference points to draw a mule deer tag (or may purchase a land voucher tag for $2,500 per hunter); an elk tag ($761 per hunter) can be purchased over the counter. A bear tag can also be added at the time of the hunt.

LOCATION: Arrival and departure point is Durango, Colorado.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Timber framed lodge.

SPECIAL NOTES: The Colorado San Juan National Forest is home to excellent mule deer hunting. High Mountain Hunts, LLC exclusively hunts in-game management units 76, 77, 78, and 771 in Colorado. The hunting area consists of varying elevations from 5,500 ft. to 14,000 ft. above sea level. While the terrain will vary throughout the trip, you should expect rough, steep, rocky, and wooded areas.
