Donated by the Ungulate Enhancement Program of the British Columbia Trappers Association, this pelt is one of our top 10 wolves taken on BC last year.
The BCTA was formed in 1945 as an association of registered trappers.
It is the oldest trapper’s association in Canada.
Regulated trapping involves control of disease and animal population density.
Uncontrolled, furbearers are primary conduits for diseases-rabies, giardia, distemper, tularemia and mange - all transmissible to humans.
