The Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission selected WSF to auction the 2026 Montana bighorn sheep license.
The 2026 Montana bighorn sheep license will be valid for one legal or larger male Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in any of the legally described 2026 bighorn sheep hunting districts during their respective open seasons during 2026.
If a hunting district(s) were to close for the 2026 season, this would also preclude this license from being valid in that district.
The license may not be transferred with the exception: The successful bidder may transfer the license to one individual, by designating such individual on an affidavit provided by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks to the successful bidder immediately following the auction.
The designee must be legally eligible to be licensed under current Montana statutes.
The completed and signed affidavit of the de-signee must be sent by the successful bidder to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks immediately following the auction.

DATES:
September 15 – November 30, 2026.
Archery Season is - September 7 - 14, 2026.
