Donation: Barbieri’s distinctive art reflects her passion for Paleolithic life and is evident in her one-of-a-kind sculpted paintings she calls relief sculpture. Her unmistakable style causes her collectors and followers to refer to her as “the modern day cave painter” Barbieri’s unique self-taught painting methods and passion for prehistoric man combines to create her primitive style painting that resonates in every hunter. Her art wakes the primal heart, stir the human soul, and transports us to a time when wealth was measured by fresh running water, rich hunting grounds and a warm fire.

In this piece Barbieri was inspired by an 8,000 year old cave painting found in South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains. Barbieri says “When I see the results of tens of thousands of years of minerals and water colliding, and collection on rock walls, I’m inspired to paint. It’s like natures accidental beauty, rich in earth tones and textures. Mother Nature leaves her indelible mark on stone walls creating a perfect place for the ancient Bushmen to leave his mark.”
In this piece we are allowed an opportunity to peak though a window in time and read his story of celebration of their most precious horned animals we call Eland.”
