The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission selected WSF to auction the 2015 Montana bighorn sheep license. The 2015 Montana bighorn sheep license will be valid for one legal or larger male mountain sheep in any of the legally described 2015 bighorn sheep hunting districts during their respective open seasons during 2015. The license may not be transferred except: The successful bidder may transfer the license to one individual, qualified to hunt, by designating such individual on an affidavit provided by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, or its agent to the successful bidder immediately following the auction. The designee must be legally able to be licensed under current Montana statutes. The completed and signed affidavit of the designee must be sent by certified mail by the successful bidder to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks within 5 working days of the auction. In addition, if because of verifiable serious illness or death, the successful bidder or his/her designee is unable to hunt, the license may be transferred to one individual who is qualified to hunt, one time only. The replacement must also be named on the affidavit provided by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, or its agent immediately following the auction and submitted by certified mail by the successful bidder to Licensing, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks within 5 working days of the auction. If the completed and signed affidavit is not received by certified mail within 5 working days following the auction, the license will be issued to the bidder and no further opportunity for license transfer will be provided to the bidder. In the above situations, the transfer of the license shall not be conducted for the financial gain (or as a consideration or barter item) or the license will be voided with no refund. Representatives of the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will be available at the convention to assist and answer questions regarding this license, and hunting in the state. Potential bidders are encouraged to stop by their booth and say hello.
